Come and celebrate your birthday with us at ZAPT Laser Tag and experience the ultimate action-packed children’s party in Cambridge!
Our woodland themed outdoor laser tag ZAPT Zone is designed specifically to immerse your child and their friends in gameplay. ZAPT is guaranteed to get their adrenaline pumping to create a truly memorable birthday party experience throughout the year and whatever the weather.
Mums and Dads - don’t let the kids have all the fun though! Why don’t you and some of the other parents book to play as well and actively enjoy the party as well? No laser tag or gaming experience is necessary, just the willingness to have fun and enjoy the moment! Read on to find out about Hyper Shock, for Adults Only.
Parties are available during weekends and holidays for up to 30 people. Please note that if your party is for less than 30 people, you may be sharing your session with members of the public and our other party table may be used by another group. To have an exclusive session, you will need to book all 30 spaces.
You can choose between 2 options:
If you’re all about the gaming, simply book onto one of our public sessions. We can have up to 30 players in one session, depending on availability. Food and drinks are available after your session to buy from the park’s café, Grounds. Grounds also has seating, but you can’t reserve a table or pre-order food.
Laser Tag session - £18 p/player
Book a Laser Tag party, plus a space to have food. For this option, you need to have a minimum of 10 players (max 30). Hire one of our party tables in the seating area outside the ZAPT Zone which you can use for up to 40 minutes after your game to enjoy your own food and drink.
Laser Tag session + Party Table - £20 p/player
The perfect pairing with laser tag is hot, freshly made pizza. The nearest pizza takeaway that delivers is Pizza Hut in Orchard Park. Depending on the time of session, you can either order on the day or the day before, for your pizza to be delivered in time for the end of your session. Their delivery driver can bring it to Milton Country Park's car park, for you to collect. Ordering details will be provided in your confirmation email.
Laser tag sessions are 75 minutes long, consisting of a 15-minute briefing and 1 hour in the ZAPT Zone. Your time in the ZAPT Zone includes receiving your laser tag blaster and target set, new game briefings and handing back your equipment before you leave the zone.
You’ll be kitted out with state-of-the-art laser tag blasters packed full of interactive gameplay modes and technology. They include shields, respawns, multi-ammo modes, even a zombie mode if you’re feeling brave enough. The blasters let you know how much armour and ammo you have left during the game, as well as when you’ve been ZAPT. Plus, they’re super strong and light enough to be easy to use for even the youngest players.
On top of all this, our skilled and super friendly marshals will be dotted throughout the ZAPT Zone to deliver game and safety briefings, team tactic talks and assistance to all who need it.
During your session, you will play a selection of structured missions designed to test your tactics, develop your teamwork and gaming skills, plus get you having lots of fun. You have unlimited ammo but use your Zaps wisely because the reload pause could come when you need to Zap or be ZAPT!
For a truly immersive laser tag experience and to help the missions be evenly matched, we split larger groups in half, putting one half in the red team and the other in the blue team, to do battle in the ZAPT Zone.
Missions include:
Whether you are a beginner, experienced or well-seasoned player, you can take aim and fire up to 200 metres of unlimited shots.
The only question is… Will you Zap or be ZAPT?
Birthday party bookings also get a stick of camouflage paint so your group can go into the ZAPT Zone looking the part and ready to Zap - perfect for photo opportunities!
Add a penalty for coming under fire, call it fear, reality or just plain old fun but it takes Laser Tag to another level!
Party timings
Our Cambridge birthday parties are at dedicated times on Saturdays and Sundays during term times and every day during school holidays. Please check online for party slots available on your preferred date.
If you would like to hold a party at any other time, please contact the centre directly or email us to enquire about availability.
How long do the parties last?
Our Cambridge birthday parties last for just under 2 hours if you hire one of our party tables to stay for birthday food: 15 minutes for the safety briefing, 60 minutes in the ZAPT Zone, and up to 40 minutes on your party table.
Where is the party area and long do I have it for?
We have a seating area under two gazebos that are reserved for parties who have booked a table. Once your party’s laser tag session has finished, you have use of the table for up to 40 minutes.
You can have access and decorate your table once any party group has finished from the previous session, which is 20 minutes before the end of your party’s laser tag session.
Food options for your party
You are very welcome to bring your own food, drink and of course, birthday cake! Food and drinks are available from the park’s café, Grounds. You will have to order with them directly, ask for it to be a takeaway, and bring it back over to your party tables.
If you are ordering from Pizza Hut, you can see their menu and latest offers online. You can also place your order online, but we would suggest you call them on 01223 425710 to do this.
They are based a short drive away from the park at Unit 7, Orchard House, Unwin Square (Off Chieftan Way), Orchard Park, Cambridge, CB4 2AD.
They take orders over the phone from 11.30am and deliver within the hour. If your party starts before 12pm, it is best to put in your order the day before. We also suggest asking them to deliver 15 minutes before the end of your session, so the pizza is at the perfect temperature for the party guests to enjoy when they’ve finished Zapping.
Their delivery driver can bring the pizzas over to your party table.

What happens if it’s bad weather?
We still run our sessions in the rain and your party will have just as much fun in the wet as in the dry. Our woodland location gives good cover from the rain and also the sun.
The only time we would cancel sessions is due to extremely high wind speeds. The park rangers at Milton Country Park where we are based monitor wind speeds based on the Met Office’s data and inform us with as much notice as possible if the park needs to close and so our sessions need to be cancelled.
Where can we get coffee?
The fantastic Grounds café a short walk away from the ZAPT Zone.
Paying for the party
You can book your party online or by calling the centre.
You need to pay the full amount when booking the party if you are booking a party online. If you call the centre, you can pay a deposit for a minimum of 10 players. The balance is due 7 days before the party.
Changing numbers for parties and refunds
We recommend that you book for the maximum number of people you expect for your party. This ensures that you have the places you require, as we have a limit to the number of players in each session.
Increasing numbers of players
If you need to increase your numbers, we can only let you have places that are available within that session. Please give us a much notice as possible. This is normally not possible on the day.
Decreasing numbers of players and cancellation policy
After your party has been confirmed and paid for, we operate a cancellation policy that allows for full or part cancellations and refunds for parties, where you notify us of your desire to cancel or reduce the number of players up to seven days before the party. For party table bookings, please note that we cannot reduce the numbers past the minimum number of 10. Regretfully, we are unable to cancel bookings or refunds where notice given is less than seven days before the date of the booking.
What if a child cannot come on the day?
In the event of a last-minute drop-out, an adult or child can take their place. Don’t let the kids have all the fun! Regrettably, we are unable to cancel or refund any spaces unused on the day of the booking.
Your booking confirmation email will have full details of what to expect and information for you to forward to your guests. You can also check out our Session and Booking Info page for more information.
Please feel free to contact us by email or call 01223 800060, if you have any other questions.
